The edition at hand is not merely a record of the histori- cal journey of the Organisation of Urban Transportation of Thessaloniki. It is a vibrant biography of Thessaloniki, as reflected through the trajectory of the OASTH. For, since its establishment in 1957, this important historical Organisation has been inextricably linked to Thessaloniki. Indeed, it has set in motion the dreams, needs, and dai- ly trips of millions of people, transporting generations of schoolchildren, students, workers, and pensioners.
